Lindos said the police found the victim inside and outside the bar.
According to the city, officials “cooperated with well-meaning Samaritans to provide assistance and ensure that medical staff from the Sao Paulo Fire Brigade can safely travel to the area”.
14 people were taken to the hospital, and the woman in her 20s died on the spot.
“This is heartbreaking and unacceptable,” Mayor Melvin Carter told CNN on Sunday.
The São Paulo police said in a tweet announcing the arrest that the three men arrested were receiving treatment in the hospital because they were injured in the incident.
Once these people are released, they will be sent to prison and “waiting for the accusation decision.”
The São Paulo police did not release any additional information.
“This is simply a tragedy. Some of us were in São Paulo and had a great time going out on Saturday night. There were others who decided to draw the gun, and regardless of their lives, the drawing triggered the gun again and again. It ended in tragedy,” Linders Say.
Carter said that the city has approved $1 million for police overtime to cope with the recent increase in crime and more police will take to the streets.
He added: “We now have one of the largest police academies in the history of our department.”
“Everyone has landed”
Peter Mazalewski works as DJ at Seventh Street Truck Park, an indoor food truck and bar featuring live music and dancing. He said that when the party atmosphere is about to change, there are usually warning signs.
But that was not the case on Sunday morning. He said that the accidental gunfire cut the air and the party ended in tragedy.
“Everyone had a great time and sang together. Then at 12:15 in the morning, suddenly, there was no argument or fight, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Everyone fell to the ground,” Mazarevs Kee, whose stage name is Peter Parker, told CNN. “When they were still shooting, I had to reach out and turn off the music. I think the concert adds to the chaos.”
Mazalewski works in the truck park every Saturday. He said he hit the ground and covered his eyes. The next time he opened them, he saw wounded bodies all around.
“When I got up, I saw four or five people lying on the floor and they were shot,” he said. “I can’t play records in that room anymore. I won’t do that. I can’t do that. I won’t have fun there anymore.”
