Read Time:1 Minute, 55 Second

A cow was injured Monday morning when it fell from a trailer on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County. (Video of the cow recovering in the player above) The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the cow fell and landed on the interstate near Highway 176. At 7 a.m., the police said the vehicle carrying the cattle had not stopped, possibly unaware that the cattle had fallen. Dr. Rachel Lane of the Orchard Hills Veterinary Clinic said she was on her way to an appointment when she heard about a cow on the interstate. She works with farm animals and travels to the area for help. Lane said people from Tate Kids, a local goat farm, brought a trailer to help her get the cattle off the road. Lane brought the cows back to her farm where she was eating and hanging out with the other cows. She has a few scratches, but she’s doing fine considering what she’s been through.
