Evan Rachel Wood discusses Marilyn Manson’s alleged abuse in new documentary
“Phoenix Rising – Part One: Don’t Fall” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend. In the film, Wood details the allegations that she was abused by ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson.
“[Warner] Strongly deny any and all allegations of sexual assault or abuse of anyone. These lurid allegations against my clients have three things in common – they are all false, allegedly occurred more than a decade ago, and are part of a joint attack by Mr Warner’s former partners and colleagues, who turned the otherwise mundane Details weaponized his personal life and their consensual relationship into fictional horror stories. “
Wood and Manson first met when she was 18 and Manson was 38. They got engaged in 2010 but ended their relationship a few months later.
The film, directed by Amy Berger, will premiere in two parts on HBO later this year.
(HBO and CNN are both part of WarnerMedia.)
