Pittsburgh-The FBI Pittsburgh now offers up to $5,000 in rewards to provide information that led to the recovery of guns stolen from government vehicles.
At around 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon, the FBI vehicle was stolen in Schenley Park.
The FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force worked with the Pittsburgh Police Department to devote significant resources to finding this weapon, a 9mm Glock 19 pistol, and removing it from untrained individuals who might own it.
All regional law enforcement agencies were quickly notified of the theft and assisted the FBI as needed. Anyone with information should immediately contact the Pittsburgh FBI at 412-432-4000.
“I think it sounds unfortunate. Criminals are looking for people who are exercising and trying to steal their things. I think maybe they need more cameras or lights and things like that,” Kevin May said in Shenley Park .
