Jeep launches first Grand Cherokee plug-in electric SUV

Detroit-On Wednesday, Jeep launched its first Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrid as it tried to shift its SUV from a fuel-guzzling model “Green” vehicles.

The new 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe is estimated to have an all-electric cruising range of 25 miles, and then switch to a four-cylinder turbocharged engine to power the vehicle. When it arrives at the dealer’s showroom early next year, it will complete the new series of the redesigned Grand Cherokee SUV.

“The Jeep Grand Cherokee is our global flagship and will lead the Jeep brand into a new era of high-quality refinement, innovative technology, advanced 4×4 capabilities, and electrification,” Jeep CEO Christian Monier said in a statement.
