Man pretending to be a truant police officer is wanted for kidnapping Alvin and sexually assaulting minors
It happened on October 19th in the 900 block of Cleveland Street near Alvin High School.
According to the Brasoria County Sheriff’s Office, the man persuaded the Alvin High School student girl that he was a truant police officer and persuaded her to get in his car. Authorities said that at that time, he drove her to a boat ramp in Chocolate Bay along Highway 35 and sexually assaulted her.
After the attack, the man sent the girl away at around 7pm
The man is described as a white or Hispanic man of medium build, in his early to mid-30s, with short brown or black hair and brown or black eyes. Authorities said he was about 5 feet 7 inches or 5 feet 8 inches tall.
It is believed that he was also wearing a blue short-sleeved T-shirt with a short-sleeved flannel shirt and a pair of light-colored jeans at the time of the incident. The victim told investigators that he also had a complete tattoo on his left forearm.
He is driving a new Chevrolet Malibu, believed to be the 2015 body style.
Sergeant Anthony Hurse of the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said cars are the main weapon for predators.
“Once you get in that car, you are at their mercy,” he said. “So, we tell people, if you don’t know who it is, don’t get in that car. Always go find someone and let them know what’s going on. This is very important.”
Alvin’s law enforcement agency is stepping up patrols around the campus to ensure the safety of the children, while detectives are looking for suspects.
