
Robert Durst accused of murdering his ex-wife in New York
District Attorney spokesperson Jess Vecchiarelli said the complaint was filed in the Lewisboro Court in New York on October 19.
Kathleen McCormack Durst was last seen in 1982 and was declared legally dead in 2017. Her body has not been found yet.
Durst is fighting Covid-19.
Durst was accused of murdering Berman in her Beverly Hills home in 2000. A few hours ago she was going to talk to investigators about the mysterious disappearance of Catherine McCormack Durst.
Attorney Robert Abrams said her family was “very happy” that Durst was accused.
He said in a statement that the family will not make further comments before the case proceeds.
The murder date was “approximately” January 31, 1982
Court documents stated that Robert Durst was charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the murder of his ex-wife in Lewisboro, New York, on January 31, 1982.
The one-page complaint stated, “The defendant Robert Durst intended to cause the death of Catherine McCormack Durst at the time and place mentioned above, resulting in the death of Catherine McCormack Durst.”
The complaint submitted by the New York State Police investigator cited documents kept by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Police Department, and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, as well as “conversations with numerous witnesses and observations of recordings of the defendant’s conversations” and Court testimony in related litigation. ”
The Lewisboro Town Court Clerk’s Office provided the complaint, which was received on October 19.
New York State Police postponed to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
