Uzomah of the Bengal Tigers offers new phones and tickets to fans who took famous videos
Cincinnati (WXIX)-The video from the phone calls of Bangladeshi fans during Sunday’s game in Detroit attracted great attention within a few hours of filming.
Big attention. Instant virus status. Less than a day later, the number of views exceeded one million. Reposts from Bleacher Report and NFL.
Sebastian Day is a photographer, and his phone captured the moment Bangladesh close end CJ Uzomah scored in the fourth quarter.
Uzoma and his teammates rushed to the wall in the corner of the end zone to celebrate with Dai and his first row of super fans.
“I think we were just louder than everyone else around us,” he recalled.
Dai has his phone and is recording.
“[Uzomah] Trying to give the friend next to me a high five, he just called me,” he said.
Day fumbled for the phone, and it hit the turf. Just then, the Bengals running back Joe Mixon pounced to pick him up.
But he did not return it to Dai—not at first. Instead, with the phone still recording, Mickelson flipped it over and filmed the moment of the NFL weekend.
“That was great, he threw it back to me, and then they started beating the Lions again,” Dai said.
Lucky for him. His phone is not so lucky, and now there is a thin line crack on its front screen.
This is where Uzomah reappears in the picture.
“CJ contacted me and said he would give me a new phone,” Day explained. “I’m not too worried. I like my phone, and he said he should be able to buy tickets for me. […] I would rather have a ticket than a phone. “
It turns out that Day can have both.
Uzomah sent a message to Day, offering to send him the “newest” smartphone on the market and tickets to watch the Bengals play against the Steelers or the Browns at Paul Brown Stadium.
