Less than a week before the official release date of Windows 11 on October 5th, Microsoft has launched a modern Paint application to Windows Insiders on the Dev Channel.

It has been redesigned to match the overhauled user interface (UI) of Windows 11. Toolbars and other components have been swiped by more Microsoft Fluent Design systems, which notify the refreshed Paint application icon and rounded edges on the window .

Users will be able to download Paint applications that are no longer provided with the operating system. A few years ago, the classic Paint application was about to be cut off and replaced by Paint 3D, but Microsoft also removed Paint 3D from the applications pre-installed on new devices and the newly installed Windows 11.

In the newly redesigned application, the window has rounded corners and a new Fluent toolbar icon design, a circular palette, a new drop-down menu for drawing creation and editing tools, and a simplified toolbar.

New “A” icon in the toolbar Paint fill icon make Paint users can add text to their work more easily.

Paint is not the only application redesigned for Windows 11. Several applications pre-installed with Windows 11, such as the calculator application and the built-in mail and calendar Windows applications, have been updated to include rounded corners.

Skype will not be pre-installed on the new Windows 11. However, it has also undergone a visual transformation. It appears by default in Windows 10Today, Microsoft seems to be more focused on Teams for consumers and enterprises.
